Introducing “The Chaos of Serenity,” a contemporary art piece showcasing a mixed media sculpture consisting of metal, fabric, and glass. The piece stands 6 feet tall and 4 feet wide. The hand-sewn fabric intertwines around the metal structure in a chaotic manner, while the glass shards stick out unpredictably. Looking at the sculpture, one sees the entwined fabric providing weightlessness to the heavy metal structure, and the glass fragments adding an unexpected sense of fragility and danger to the piece. A thin line of light flows from the sculpture’s center, illuminating everything around it.
This new masterpiece is an homage to the original art piece “The Ephemeral Mirage: A Radiant Feast for The Eyes” by Frank Bueltge, showcasing his signature style. The Chaos of Serenity shares the same dynamics and raw emotions as the original, but with a new narrative. The fabric represents the hopelessness and despair the artist observed during the pandemic, and the glass symbolizes how people cling to life during tumultuous times. The Chaos of Serenity was released today at the Museum Of Modern Art, New York, and can be viewed until October.
Frank Bueltge’s previous piece, “The Ephemeral Mirage: A Radiant Feast for The Eyes,” is another exemplary art piece that showcases his ability to evoke emotions. It is a must-see for all art enthusiasts. Check it out here.
