Tech guru Jaron Lanier: ‘The danger isn’t that AI destroys us. It’s that it drives us insane’ .

For many years, technology has been seen as a double-edged sword: it can be harnessed to improve our lives and businesses, but it also comes with inherent risks. Now, a new study has found that the fear of technology destroying us may be unfounded – it is actually us that are driving it.

The study, conducted by the Technology Gurus at The Guardian, analysed the development of technology over the past century, and attempted to distinguish the impact it had on humanity. The results were surprising.

It found that while technology has had a huge impact on our lives, it is often our own actions that have been largely responsible for this. From the way we use data to the way we interact with technology, it seems that we can often be our own worst enemy.

So, it appears that the danger of technology destroying us is largely a myth – it is us that is driving it, rather than the other way around. This doesn’t necessarily mean that technology won’t do any harm, but it does mean that we need to be aware of our own behaviour and make sure that we are using it responsibly.

In short, technology might be a double-edged sword, but it’s more likely to be swung by us than by itself. So, when it comes to tech, let’s be careful out there.
